o.t.s.o…..April

Although recent road runs have been beautifully decorated by the glorious roadside displays of daffodils that are an annual highlight in March, it’s now time for them to leave the stage and make way for the blue woodland carpets, courtesy of the bluebells which will make your cross country runs even more enjoyable than usual !!! Apart from those flowery notes, poetry lovers among you will be relieved to learn that my poetic “muse” has temporarily deserted me, so you are excused the monthly poem for April. So it’s just a brief mention of a quick dash up to Snowdonia tomorrow to do a bit of route reconnaissance for the proposed 3000’s run that I’m hoping to do later in the year. The photo below was taken on Thursday, and looks a bit interesting, but it has thawed quite a lot since so should be fine. Albeit, temperatures up near the tops are forecast as being about zero and “feeling like minus 9” with wind chill.

Hope it’s going to start thawing soon !!!

I’ll try and get a good picture or two if I can and will post an update later in the week. Also, will be discussing a subject that I’ve managed to neglect so far – the phenomenon that is parkrun !!!
